Duncan Dash 2024 - Go For The Gold!
One goal of our parent organization, DECO, is to encourage student involvement while being active participants in all aspects of their school experience. One way to do this is through fundraising efforts that contribute to the common good of the school. The Duncan Dash is a fundraiser where students collect pledges from family and friends to run a designated obstacle course on the school grounds. This is our main fundraiser for the year and constitutes the largest portion of our profits. The money raised will directly benefit the students and staff of Duncan Elementary throughout the year!
Here are just a few ways the donations from the Duncan Dash are used:
-School Programs
-Author Visits
-Field Trips & Transportation
-School Wide & Grade Level Assemblies
-Math & Reading Materials
New! This year we will now be using the online platform 99 Pledges for collecting donations! Each student will have their own individual page where friends and family can donate to the Duncan Dash right online. Parents will receive an email with a special link for each child in the afternoon on September 13. These links can then be sent out or shared on social media to help collect donations. Cash & Check sent into the school will still be accepted and manually added in to the system.
